animation is traditional 2d hand drawn on paper and then colored digitally in 2 tone.

there's one sequence of the film with a slightly different treatment.

the kickstart

the very beginning was when i kickstarted with the idea of beards. (one of my fetishes) these were some of the possible character sketches that led to different storylines, some worked for me, some didnt. it's been really long since i last updated my blog. have been working on my diploma film.

its not finished yet, but a chunky part is done and so here are some tit bits. starting from the very beginning, this is how it evolved :)

Creature design

For a 10 minute sequence in the upcoming animation feature film 'ARJUN', i designed a monster character. it combines features and personalities of 2-3 animals. a very interesting process that started from wildlife gazing and took me through model making, colour palettes, and so much more....

a fun extensive project!
